A clever and comical Afrikaans advert has been racking up the views and providing a much-needed laugh for South Africans.
In an advert created by accommodation booking platform LekkeSlaap, the video has already been viewed over 6.8 million times in less than two weeks.
The advert shows a family that has just arrived into town as they introduce their children to some locals.
It starts out innocently enough as the parents call over their son George, before the mother cheekily admits that nine months before he was born they had ‘visited’ George, which inspired the name.
As they continue to introduce their children, other names include Clarens, Umhlanga, Groblersdal, Tietiesbaai, Wakkerstroom, Piet Retief, Springbok and even Bela-Bela for a pair of twins.
Make sure you also wait for the classic one-liner at the end of the advert, which is titled ‘Ons LekkeSlaap baie’.
