Press Pages Watch: Hilarious Afrikaans advert sweeps in millions of viewers

A hilarious new Afrikaans advert created by South African brand LekkeSlaap has people in stitches and has brought in millions of viewers since its release.

LekkeSlaap is a company similar to Airbnb, giving users a platform to easily find and book accommodation online in South Africa.

The advert features a family that has just moved into a new neighbourhood. As they chat with another local couple, they call over their kids for introduction.

George, Clarens and Umhlanga are just the first of the group of children. The couple proceed to explain that they have named all of their little ones after towns they have visited.

The ad is in Afrikaans with English subtitles and has swept in 6.4 million viewers in just 12 days.
